ChatGPT Plus or Business, next to Claude, Gemini, and Copilot

ChatGPT Plus is $20 a month for one person, with no annual plan. ChatGPT Business Standard lists at the same $20 per user per month on an annual plan, and it starts at two seats. Claude Pro is $20 a month, or $200 for the year. Gemini is usually already inside Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365 Copilot is either an add-on or a bundle with Office. For eligible companies in Mexico, Peru, and Chile, Kemeny Studio can make the first ChatGPT Business account free for 48 months.

Updated 1 October 2026. US list prices in USD. Taxes extra. Vendor prices change.

The form checks whether your company qualifies for the partner seats. It is in Spanish. The plan minimum is still two accounts: the first can be free for 48 months, and the second is paid to OpenAI.

Open Fit Check

$0 for 48 months on the first eligible ChatGPT Business account

List price on an annual Standard seat is $20 per user per month, paid to OpenAI. Through the partner program, one eligible account is free for 48 months. That is a 50% discount on the two-seat minimum, because the second account is still billed by OpenAI. Seats are limited to companies in Mexico, Peru, and Chile. Elsewhere on this page, you pay the vendor’s list price.

Plus or Pro for one person, or Business?

Plus or Pro is enough for one or two people using ChatGPT personally, with no company data and no need for an admin console, SSO, or a shared invoice. Business is the plan when you need those controls, or when several people should sit in one workspace.

ChatGPT, annual Standard vs Plus

Plus is $20 per month. There is no annual price. Business Standard is $20 per user per month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly, and the plan starts at 2 seats. Two Plus subscriptions are $40 per month. Two Business Standard seats are $40 per month on the annual plan and $50 per month on the monthly plan. Five Plus subscriptions are $100 per month. Five Business Standard seats on the annual list are also $100 per month. The per-person list price does not fall as you add seats. One person cannot buy Business self-serve: the smallest annual workspace is $40 per month.

Pro, and Claude for one person

ChatGPT Pro is $100, $200, or $500 per month, with no annual plan. Business Premium is $100 per user per month annually or $125 monthly, described as 5× Standard with no 5-hour limit. The pages do not publish a usage multiple that makes a Pro tier equal to a Premium seat. Two Premium seats, the minimum, are $200 per month on the annual list. Claude Pro is $20 per month, or $200 up front for the year. Two annual Pro subscriptions are $400 for the year. Two Claude Team Standard seats at $20 are $480 for the year. Two monthly Pro subscriptions are $40 per month, the same as two Team Standard seats billed annually, and $10 less than two Team seats billed monthly ($50). Max 5x is $100 per month and Max 20x is $200 per month, monthly only.

On Plus and Pro, OpenAI uses content to train models unless you opt out. On Business, workspace content is not used to train models by default. Plus and Pro have no admin console, no SAML SSO, and no unified billing on the pricing comparison. Business has all three. Claude Pro and both Max tiers are opt-out for training, with no SSO and no central billing. Claude Team is none-by-default for training, with SSO and central billing. ChatGPT Enterprise is custom pricing. Claude Enterprise is $20 per seat per month billed annually, plus usage at API rates.

Prices change. Confirm on the vendor site before you buy. Figures are US list prices in USD, excluding tax, as published on 1 October 2026. The $0 for 48 months applies only to the first eligible ChatGPT Business account through Kemeny Studio’s partner seats, not to Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or extra ChatGPT seats.

Match the assistant to the stack you already pay for

ChatGPT Business

A shared workspace for teams of 2–200, with SSO, connectors, and Codex. Pick it when the assistant should sit beside your tools, not inside one suite. Eligible companies in Mexico, Peru, and Chile can check the 48-month partner seat before paying list price.

Claude Team

The same shape of seat price, with Claude Code on every seat and a cap of 150. Enterprise above that is $20 per seat per month plus API usage, billed annually. Strong when the team’s daily work is coding and long documents in Claude.

Google Gemini

If you already pay for Workspace Business Standard or Plus, Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and Meet is not a second invoice. Buying it only as an AI seat, when you do not want the suite, is the wrong comparison.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

The deepest grounding in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Budget both numbers: the AI add-on on a plan you already have, and the all-in bundle if you are buying Microsoft 365 and Copilot together. Copilot Chat on an eligible plan is $0 and is a narrower product.

Seat price is not the cost of a production system. API token math for your own agents lives in the LLM cost calculator. What it costs to build and operate a workflow is a different guide: AI implementation cost.

Common questions

How much does ChatGPT Business cost?

OpenAI lists ChatGPT Business Standard at $20 per user per month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly. Premium is $100 annually or $125 monthly: 5× the usage of Standard, with no 5-hour limit. Teams start at 2 seats and self-serve up to 200. Enterprise is custom. These are US list prices and they change. Confirm on openai.com before you buy.

How much do ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro cost?

On openai.com/chatgpt/pricing, Plus is $20 per month. Pro starts at $100 per month, with three monthly tiers. The help center lists those tiers as Pro 100 at $100, Pro 200 at $200, and Pro 500 at $500. Ultrafast is included only on Pro 500. Plus and Pro have no annual plan. Prices are US list prices in USD and they change.

Is ChatGPT Plus or Pro enough, or do I need Business?

Plus or Pro is a personal subscription. It fits one or two people using ChatGPT on their own, with no company data and no need for an admin console, SSO, or one invoice. Business is the workspace plan: no training on workspace content by default, an admin console, SAML SSO, and unified billing, from 2 seats. On the annual list, one Standard seat is $20 per user per month, the same sticker as Plus. Two Plus subscriptions are $40 per month. Two Business Standard seats are $40 per month on the annual plan, or $50 per month if billed monthly. One person cannot buy Business self-serve, because the minimum is 2 seats ($40 per month annual, or $50 monthly).

How much do Claude Pro and Claude Max cost?

On claude.com/pricing, Claude Pro is $20 per month, or $17 per month when you pay $200 up front for the year. Claude Max is listed from $100 per month. The Claude Help Center prices the two tiers on the pricing page as Max 5x at $100 per month and Max 20x at $200 per month, web subscriptions, monthly only. Mobile store prices can differ. Team Standard remains $20 per seat per month billed annually, or $25 monthly, from 2 seats.

Is Claude Team cheaper than ChatGPT Business?

At US list, the seats match. Claude Team Standard is $20 per user per month annually, or $25 monthly. Premium is $100 annually or $125 monthly, and Anthropic describes Premium as 5× Standard. Teams run from 2 to 150 seats, and Claude Code is included. The difference is the product, not the sticker. Prices vary by region and can change.

Is Google Gemini a separate subscription?

On Google Workspace Business, Gemini is folded into the suite. It is not a separate Gemini Business SKU. Annual US list is $14 per user per month for Business Standard and $22 for Business Plus. If you already pay for Standard or Plus, the assistant is $0 on top. Starter is $7 and includes a narrower Gemini, mostly in Gmail. New-customer promos can be lower.

How much is Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Two ways to buy it, plus a monthly price. As an add-on, the US page shows a list of $21 per user per month paid yearly and a current price of $18. The footnote says that discount runs from 1 July 2026 through 31 December 2026 for existing Microsoft 365 Business customers on an annual commitment, and that the promotional price applies to the first year. The same add-on is $25.20 per user per month on a monthly subscription. As a bundle, paid yearly, Business Standard with Copilot is $23.50 and Business Premium with Copilot is $32. Monthly, those bundles are $28.20 and $38.40. The bundle prices include the Office suite. Confirm the number in your region.

Can the first ChatGPT Business account be free?

For eligible companies in Mexico, Peru, and Chile, yes, while seats last. Kemeny Studio is in the OpenAI SMB Channel Partner program. The first ChatGPT Business account is free for 48 months. The plan still starts at two accounts, and the second is paid directly to OpenAI, which is a 50% discount on that two-seat minimum. Check eligibility on the form. This page does not sign you up by itself.

Which assistant fits a company already on Microsoft or Google?

If the work lives in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot is grounded in those files. If it lives in Gmail, Docs, and Meet, Gemini on Workspace Business Standard or Plus is already in the suite you pay for. ChatGPT Business and Claude Team fit when you want a shared AI workspace, connectors, and a coding agent (Codex or Claude Code) that is not tied to one office suite.
